How we vet every candidate.
The same five step process for everyone, documented and auditable.
1. Application & skills
Candidates complete a full profile covering experience, skills, type of work and availability.
2. Interview
A video or in person interview with our recruitment team to assess reliability, communication and fit.
3. Identity & right to work
We verify identity documents and right to work in line with Home Office guidance, including online share code checks where applicable, and keep records for the statutory period.
4. DBS & references
Basic, Standard or Enhanced DBS checks according to the role. Every care worker has an Enhanced DBS with an adult barred list check, and so does anyone working in healthcare, education or with vulnerable adults. Every candidate also gives two references.
5. Training & onboarding
Care staff hold the Care Certificate or a Health and Social Care Diploma, with moving and handling people, safeguarding adults, basic life support and medication training for senior roles. Cleaning staff hold COSHH, manual handling and health and safety training, plus sector modules such as infection prevention and control or food hygiene. Expiring certificates are tracked automatically and candidates are reminded to renew.
