The Oak Group Recruitment ("we") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: admin@oak-group.co.uk.
What we collect
- Candidates: contact details, location, work history, skills, availability, identity and right to work documents, DBS information, certificates, references and National Insurance number.
- Employers: business and contact details, job requirements.
- Everyone: enquiries, messages and technical data needed to run the site securely.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To find you work or staff (contract / steps before a contract).
- To meet legal obligations such as right to work checks and agency record keeping (legal obligation).
- To send job and candidate alerts by email, SMS or WhatsApp, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- DBS and criminal record information is processed under the conditions in Schedule 1 of the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we share it with
Employers see an anonymised profile until you are put forward for a role. We use trusted processors for hosting, email (Resend) and messaging (Twilio / WhatsApp). We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Right to work records are kept for the employment period plus 2 years. Inactive candidate profiles are deleted after 2 years. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent. Contact admin@oak-group.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
